March 2016 Recap

March was such a fun month for us in Hampton Roads! Here is how each meeting went:
Our March monthly meeting was an outstanding success! We added three new members and we had 13 first time attendees. We hope to see you all again (mostly we want to see your cutie babies again). Our teaching stations were busy with questions and 1 on 1 help. Dana convinced us that ring slings are the greatest carrier of all time. Suzanne taught us a fail proof way to put baby on your back in a SSC. Jaime Jo demonstrated the Lexi twist and why it’s helpful for carrying a newborn in a Front Wrap Cross Carry in a woven wrap. Jade and Chrissie shared their expertise on back carrying in woven wraps of all sizes. Our lending library table was quickly depleted as members checked out different carriers to try. We appreciate your patience and hope all your questions were answered! Let us know how your experience was at the next meeting and we can suggest what carrier you should try next!

The March Western Branch meeting is so fun and intimate! Since this is a new meeting, the attendance is still low. If you want one on one help, this is the meeting for you! Since we are still looking for area representatives for the area, there is no lending library yet BUT we have many different carriers to help you with! We hope to see you at our next meeting at Russel Memorial Library on April 19 at 6:30 PM! Please email if you are interested in becoming an area representative!

March’s Southside meeting saw a change in venue at Mary Pretlow Library in Norfolk. What a hectic meeting, but so great to see so many people! We got to help a twin mama wrap her two newborn squishes and many others got help with new wrapping and carrying techniques. We welcomed one new member who got to check out a carrier to enjoy for the month. We also welcomed seven people to their first meeting. We look forward to seeing everyone at Indian River Public Library on April 15th!
