October started out with a hurricane! In preparation for Joaquin, we rescheduled our Virginia Beach meeting and cancelled our Peninsula meeting. It all worked out! Here’s how our meetings went.

Hurricane Joaquin sure put a change in our regularly scheduled meetings for Virginia Beach. Our rescheduled meeting was held on October 10, 2015. We had a total attendance of 58, welcomed 6 first time visitors, and received 3 new memberships – a great way to end celebrating International Babywearing Week. Our lending library received a new addition: a Pavo “Surf” Stripe long size 6 wrap. We hope everyone enjoyed celebrating International Babywearing Week with us and received the help they needed during our meeting. See you soon at our next meeting in November.

|We debuted a new way to sign in at our Southside meeting! Electronic sign-ins will be available at all meetings.|
BWI of Hampton Roads had its monthly Southside meeting on October 18 at Indian River Library in Chesapeake. We welcomed 4 new meeting attendees and 2 new members! I am happy to say that all of our attendees left as members! We still have car decals available for anyone who missed out over the summer, if you haven’t had a chance to make it to a meeting contact Jacquie at Southside@babywearinghamptonroads.org subject: “car decals” to get your hands on one!! Just a reminder that November is the last opportunity to check out from our lending libraries for the 2015 year, In December our meeting will be for lending library returns only in anticipation of our annual library switch up for 2016,
Any questions can be directed at Jacquie and Meg our Southside area representatives at Southside@babywearinghamptonroads.org Happy Babywearing!
